Japan-U.S. Summit Telephone Talk

On May 8, commencing at around 10 a.m. for approximately 45 minutes, Mr. ABE Shinzo, Prime Minister of Japan, held a summit telephone talk with the Honorable Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America. The overview of the talk is as follows.
- Regarding COVID-19, the two leaders exchanged views on the domestic situations in both countries, measures to prevent the spread of infection, updates on the development of therapeutics and vaccines, as well as measures to restart economy. They shared the view to continue close bilateral coordination.
- The two leaders also exchanged views on regional affairs including North Korea.
