Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Yasuhide Nakayama by the Asian American Delegation in the U.S

On March 18, Mr. Yasuhide Nakayama, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from 6 members of the Asian American Delegation, during their visit to Japan. The overview is as follows.
1 State Minister Nakayama welcomed the visit to Japan by the delegation members who have been playing active roles in various areas, and mentioned that this year marks 70 years since the end of World War II, so that it is important for the two countries to further broaden and strengthen cooperation in this memorable year.
He also noted that he hoped the delegation to further deepen their understanding of Japan through this visit, and to cooperate in strengthening the bond between Japan and the United States.
2 The Asian American Delegation expressed their gratitude for this invitation program. They explained their impression that they were able to deepen their understanding of Japan through the program, and said that they would like to contribute to further promoting the Japan-U.S. relations.
3 Both sides also exchanged views on the overall bilateral relations between Japan and the United States.
