On July 9, commencing at 10:05 a.m. for approximately 25 minutes, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Chief Cabinet Secretary, received a courtesy call from the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, during her visit to Japan. The overview is as follows.
- At the outset, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi gave a welcoming word to Foreign Minister Anand for her visit to Japan and expressed his delight for the steady progress of Japan-Canada cooperation under the “Japan-Canada Action Plan for contributing to a free and open Indo-Pacific region,” including the signing of the Agreement on the Security of Information.
- The two sides welcomed the advancement of Japan-Canada cooperation across a wide range of areas and reaffirmed the importance of further deepening bilateral relations across various fields.
