Japan-Canada Foreign Ministers’ talks

On 15th February, Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, held talks with The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, during his visit to Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
- At the outset, Minister Iwaya expressed his congratulations on successfully holding the first face-to-face G7 Foreign Ministers’ meeting under the Canadian G7 presidency this year.
- Both Foreign Ministers confirmed that they would promote bilateral cooperation in areas such as the economy and security, including energy corporation.
