On April 17, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs, offered and introduced to G7 and EU ministers at the Working Lunch and the Dinner on Day 2 of the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting a variety of dishes that made full use of ingredients from across Nagano Prefecture, along with Japanese sake and wine produced locally and in other areas. At the dinner, the ministers made a toast with Hagiyaki large sake cups, a gift from the Foreign Minister Hayashi to the G7 and EU ministers. These were an extremely meaningful opportunity to promote the appeal of Japan’s food culture to the world.
