Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ONISHI by the delegation of Members of Iraqi Council of Representatives

On June 9, commencing at 2:50 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. ONISHI Yohei, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by the delegation of Iraqi Council of Representatives, that is visiting Japan to participate in the Japan-Iraq State-Building Knowledge Sharing Seminar.
- At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI welcomed the delegation’s visit to Japan and expressed his pleasure for the acceleration of exchanges between the two countries through this visit.
- Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI also expressed his hope that the seminar, through sharing of Japan’s knowledge and experience of post-war reconstruction, institutional reforms and human resource development, will contribute to further development and continuous reforms in Iraq.
- In response, the Iraqi delegation expressed their gratitude for assistance from Japan over many years. Also, they expressed their intention to utilize the knowledge and experiences obtained in Japan, and to work for development of Iraq as well as enhancing Japan-Iraq relations.
