State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU’s Attendance at the 54th National Day Reception of the United Arab Emirates

On November 27, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the 54th National Day Reception of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) hosted by the Embassy of the UAE in Tokyo and delivered her remarks on behalf of the Government of Japan. The overview is as follows:
- State Minister KUNIMITSU delivered remarks following the opening remarks by H.E. Mr. Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates.
- State Minister KUNIMITSU extended her sincere congratulations on the National Day of the UAE. Touching upon the history of diplomatic relations between Japan and the UAE spanning over 50 years, she expressed Japan’s gratitude for the UAE's contributions to the success of the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai this year.
- Furthermore, State Minister KUNIMITSU mentioned the progress in the bilateral cooperation in a wide range of fields, including advanced technology, healthcare, and space, under the "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Initiative (CSPI)," and expressed her expectations for the further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.
