Courtesy Call on Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi by Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Special Envoy to Japan of the United Arab Emirates

On April 14, commencing at 2:50 pm for approximately 15 minutes, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, received a courtesy call from H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Special Envoy to Japan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who is visiting Japan. The overview is as follows.
- At the outset, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi welcomed Minister Jaber’s visit to Japan and expressed his pleasure to meet him again for the first time since July last year. In addition, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi stated that Japan attaches great importance to the comprehensive strategic partnership with the UAE and would like to further strengthen cooperation in various fields under the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Initiative (CSPI)”. In response, Minister Jaber expressed his renewed hopes for strengthening bilateral relations with Japan.
- Both sides also affirmed the importance to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries through Osaka/Kansai Expo this year.
