Foreign Minister Hayashi's visit to Expo 2020 Dubai

On March 20, commencing at 2:30 p.m.（local time; on March 20, 7:30 p.m. JST), for approximately 120 minutes, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, visited Expo 2020 Dubai, during his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The overview is as follows.
- Minister Hayashi visited Expo 2020 Dubai and visited the Japan Pavillion. In addition, he visited the host country's UAE Pavillion as well as the Ukraine Pavillion.
- During his visit to the Ukraine Pavillion, given the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Minister Hayashi posted “Japan stands with the people of Ukraine” on the message board, to express that Japan stands with Ukraine and its people.
- Japan intends to continue the legacy of Expo 2020 Dubai and build on the knowledge and insights that the UAE obtained from the event, in hosting a successful Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.
