The 6th Japan-Türkiye Counter-Terrorism Consultation
On September 8, the 6th Japan-Türkiye Counter-Terrorism Consultation was held in Ankara.
The Japanese side was represented by H.E. Mr. MINAMI Hiroyuki, Ambassador in charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, while the Turkish side was represented by H.E. Mr. Kenan YILMAZ, Ambassador, Director General for Intelligence and Security Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.
During the consultation, the two sides exchanged views on the international terrorism situation including developments in the Middle East and new challenges, including the misuse of emerging technologies for terrorist purposes. They also confirmed their intention to further promoting bilateral cooperation as well as cooperation in international fora in addressing these challenges.
Both sides also confirmed that they would continue to hold the Counter-Terrorism Consultation.
