Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU by H. E. Mr. Oğuzhan ERTUĞRUL, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Japan

On November 28th, commencing at 3:20 p.m., for approximately 30 minutes, State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU Ayano received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Oğuzhan ERTUĞRUL, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:
- State Minister Kunimitsu expressed condolences regarding the crash of the Turkish military cargo plane that occurred on November 11. She also expressed her respect for Ambassador Ertuğrul's efforts to strengthen Japan-Türkiye relations since his appointment.
- Ambassador Ertuğrul stated his intention to continue actively working to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
- Both sides concurred to continue close cooperation and coordination on efforts toward the opening of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University (TJU) and regarding issues concerning illegal residents in Japan.
