Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister Matsumoto by the Rector and the Chair of the Council of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University (TJU)

On June 23, commencing at 2:00 p.m. (Japan Time) for approximately 40 minutes, Mr. MATSUMOTO Hisashi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Verşan Kök, the Rector of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University (TJU) and Prof. Dr. Mesut GÜNER, the Chair of the Council of the TJU, who are visiting Japan under the invitation program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. An overview of the meeting is as follows.
- At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Matsumoto welcomed the Rector and the Chair of the Council and expressed his pleasure that preparations for the opening of the university have been progressing steadily under their leadership since their appointment at the end of last year.
- In response, Rector Kök expressed gratitude for the cooperation and contributions of those related to TJU on the Japanese side and stated his determination to accelerate the process toward the opening of the university.
- Both sides concurred to continue working closely together to advance the opening and development of TJU, a national project, by leveraging the knowledge and strengths of the both countries.
