Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mr. KIHARA Minoru to Visit Turkey and Djibouti
1. Mr. KIHARA Minoru, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, will visit the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Djibouti from December 17th to 20th.
2. In Turkey, Mr. KIHARA will hold meetings with the officials of the Government of Turkey in Ankara, and will exchange views with Japanese companies which operate in Turkey in Istanbul.
3. In Djibouti, Mr. KIHARA will hold meetings with the officials of the Government of Djibouti and make site visits where the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Team (Japan Self-Defense Force (JSDF) Units) conducted water pumping activities in response to the flood caused by the recent heavy rain in November in Djibouti. He will also visit the facility of JSDF to encourage JSDF personnel who are engaging in the counter-piracy operations off the coast of Somalia and in the Gulf of Aden.
