Japan-Turkey Summit Telephone Talk
On October 28, commencing at 6:10 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. SUGA Yoshihide, Prime Minister of Japan, held a summit telephone talk with H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOGAN, President of the Republic of Turkey. The overview of the talk is as follows.
1. At the outset, Prime Minister Suga expressed his gratitude for President Erdogan’s message congratulating him on his appointment to office, and stated that he would like to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries that has rapidly developed in recent years, in cooperation with President Erdogan.
2. In response, President Erdogan once again extended his congratulations on Prime Minister Suga’s appointment to office and expressed his intention to work together in order to further develop bilateral relationships between both countries. He then stated his hope that bilateral cooperation will continue to expand in various fields, building upon the technical cooperation agreement recently signed between the two countries.
3. The two leaders shared the view on both countries to continue working closely together.
