Japan-Jordan Relations

On June 27, 2023, the 1st Cyber Security Consultation between Japan and Jordan was held via video conference. The Consultation was decided to be established at the summit between Prime Minister Kishida and H.M. King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein during H.M. King Abdullah II's visit to Japan on April 11, 2023.

The Japanese delegation was led by Mr. NISHINAGA Tomofumi, Deputy Director General of Middle Eastern and North African Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. YAMAGUCHI Isamu, Counsellor, International Strategy, National Center of Incident readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity. The Jordanian delegation was led by Dr. Mohammad Khasawneh, Director of the National Policy Council and Deputy Chairman of the National Cybersecurity Council.

In this Consultation, they shared recent updates of cyber security policies, and exchanged views on current state of affairs in cyberspace.
