Japan-Jordan Summit Telephone Talk
On October 17, commencing at 7:25 p.m. for approximately 10 minutes, Mr. Abe Shinzo, Prime Minister of Japan, held a summit telephone talk with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The overview of the talk is as follows.
1. In his beginning, King Abdullah expressed his condolences to the Japanese people for the damage caused by Typhoon Hagibis and stated that Jordan is prepared to provide the maximum support asnecessary. King Abdullah also commended the success of the Japanese national team at the Rugby World Cup 2019.
2. In response, Prime Minister Abe expressed his gratitude. Furthermore, Prime Minister Abe stated that a truly meaningful meeting was held with King Abdullah in New York in September, and expressed Japan’s intention to continue to work closely with Jordan to develop bilateral relations.
