Foreign Minister Motegi Held InformalTalks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan

On September 26, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, who is visiting the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly, held informal talks with H.E. Mr. Ayman Safadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
- Minister Safadi expressed gratitude for Minister Motegi’s attendance at the Ministerial Meeting on United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and for the holding of the Japan-Jordan Summit Meeting.
- In response, Minister Motegi expressed appreciation for the holding of a meaningful exchange of views with Jordan regarding regional affairs, at the Japan-Jordan Summit Meeting, and expressed his intention to promote foreign-ministerial-level cooperation.
- The two ministers share the view to deepen bilateral cooperation in a wide range of fields at every level.
