Courtesy call on State Minister HORII by H.E. Mr. Gilad COHEN, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel

On July 3, commencing at 4:30 p.m., for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Gilad Cohen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Japan.
- At the outset, Ambassador Cohen expressed his appreciation for State Minister HORII’s attendance to the reception commemorating the 78th Independence Day of the State of Israel last month, to which State Minister HORII responded by expressing his gratitude for the invitation.
- State Minister HORII stressed the importance of stability in the region and called on Israel to exercise the utmost restraint in Lebanon, Palestine, and the Middle East as a whole, while expressing his hope that Israel would play a constructive role. In response, Ambassador Cohen explained Israel’s position.
- Both sides concurred in continuing communication at various levels.
