Japan-Israel Relations

On Monday, November 12 2018, the Fourth Dialogue on Cyber Issues between Japan and Israel was held in Tel Aviv, Israel. The meeting was headed by Mr. Masato Otaka, Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Japanese side, with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cabinet Secretariat (the National Security Secretariat, the National center of Incident readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Defense, and the Embassy of Japan in Israel attending. The Israeli side was headed by Mr. Yigal Unna, Director General, Israel National Cyber Directorate, with representatives of various units of the Israel National Cyber Directorate and the Ministry of Defense attending.

In this Dialogue, issues such as recent updates of cyber related policies, exchange of views on current state of affairs in cyber area, crisis management in the cyber area, and cyber security efforts were discussed.
