Second Joint Foreign Affairs and Security Consultation (Pol-Mil Dialogue) between Japan and Israel

On January 27, 2021, the second politico-military dialogue (Pol-Mil Dialogue) was held between Japan and Israel via video conference.
On the Japanese side, the dialogue was attended by Mr. TAKAHASHI Katsuhiko, Director General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. NOGUCHI Yasushi, Director General for International Affairs of the Bureau of Defense Policy in the Ministry of Defense,and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense and the National Security Secretariat. On the Israeli side, the dialogue was attended by Mr. Eytan Ben-David, Deputy Head of the National Security Council (NSC), Mr. Zohar Palti, Head of the Political-Military Bureau in the Ministry of Defense,Mr. Gilad Cohen, Deputy Director General for Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairsand officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense and NSC.
The meeting dealt with a wide range of issues, including security and defense matters and regional situations.
