Japan-Israel Relations

  1. On 21 and 22 June, the Second Dialogue on Cyber issues between Japan and Israel was held in Tel Aviv, Israel.
  2. At this dialogue, based on the Joint Statement of Summit meeting in May 2014, participants followed up on the outcome of the 1st Japan-Israel Cyber Dialogue held in November 2014 and had a discussion on governmental efforts and strategy, as well as possible bilateral cooperation on cyber issues including cyber security, critical infrastructure protection, cybercrime and developing international rules and norms.
  3. Co-chaired by H.E. Mr. Koichi Mizushima, Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and H.E. Dr. Eviatar Matania, Head of National Cyber Bureau of Israeli Prime Minister Office, this Dialogue was attended by Japanese officials from National Security Secretariat, National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity, Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office, National Police Agency, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Defense and Israeli officials from Israel National Cyber Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Industry and National Police.
