State Minister Ms. KUNIMITSU is talking with Mr. Ragui ELETREBY, Ambassador of Egypt

On October 30, Ms. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Ragui ELETREBY, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Japan. The overview is as follows;

  1. At the outset, State Minister KUNIMITSU expressed her congratulations to Ambassador El-Etreby on his appointment as Ambassador to Japan in September and stated her desire to work together to further deepen the relationship between the two countries.
  2. Ambassador El-Etreby congratulated State Minister KUNIMITSU on her appointment as well as on the historic inauguration of Japan’s first female Prime Minister, and expressed his wish to enhance cooperation in various fields such as cultural collaboration—including the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, a new symbol of bilateral cooperation—as well as in education through institutions like the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology and Egyptian Japanese Schools, and in investment.
  3. They expressed their hopes for deepening bilateral relations going forward.
