Japan-Egypt Relations

On December 20, following the Egyptian presidential election held on December 10-12, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, issued a congratulatory letter to H.E. Mr. Abdel-Fattah El-SISI, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on his re-election.

In the letter, Prime Minister Kishida touched upon the importance of Egypt for the stability of the Middle East and Africa regions, and expressed his expectation for further development of cooperation tie in a wide range of areas such as political, economy, education and culture, as well as its friendly relationship, based on the Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
