Japan-Peru Relations

On April 4, the First Working Group Meeting was held online based on the Roadmap adopted at the Japan-Peru Summit Meeting in November 2024.

1. This working group was attended by Ambassador Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Peru, and Mr. Yasushi Noguchi, Director General of the Latin American Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from the Japanese side, and Ambassador Roberto Seminario, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Japan, and Mr. Fernando Quirós, Director General of the Asian and Oceanic Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru, from the Peruvian side.
2. In this working group, both sides exchanged views on cooperation in a wide range of areas between Japan and Peru with a view to further strengthening the relationship with Peru, a strategic partner with whom we share values and principles.
