Courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs HORII by Mr. Tenya, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Peru to Japan

On June 12, for approximately 30 minutes from 4:30 p.m., Mr. Horii Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E.Mr. Francisco Tenya Hasegawa, the Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Peru to Japan.
- At the outset, State Minister Horii sincerely welcomed Ambassador Tenya's arrival and stated that he would like to cooperate for the further development of Japan-Peru relations, which are strategic partners sharing values and principles, based on more than 150 years of friendly diplomatic relations. In response, Ambassador Tenya stated that his mission is to further strengthen the already excellent bilateral relations and that he would like to cooperate closely in the future.
- Both sides exchanged a wide range of opinions on bilateral relations, including the investment from Japanese companies to Peru and the Nikkei community in Peru.
