Video Message by Mr. HOSAKA Yasushi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, for the Third International Nikkei Dialogue in Peru
On March 21, Mr. HOSAKA Yasushi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, delivered a video message for the opening ceremony of the Third International Nikkei Dialogue held in Peru from March 21 to 23.
The Third International Nikkei Dialogue, led by Asociación Peruano Japonesa, is to be attended by representatives of Nikkei (Japanese immigrants and descendants) communities from eight countries in the Americas (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, the United States, Mexico, Paraguay, and Peru) to discuss the situation of Nikkei communities in each country and their relationship with Japan.
In his video message, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Hosaka congratulated the International Nikkei Dialogue and stated that the Nikkei community in the Americas, which has a history of more than 100 years, has overcome many hardships and that Nikkei people are playing very important roles in various fields today, which are the foundation in many countries of respect for, trust in, and friendship with Japan and the Japanese people. He also expressed his hope that the Nikkei International Conference will deepen friendship and solidarity among Nikkei people across borders and further strengthen the ties between Japan and the Nikkei people.
