Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI delivering remarks at the reception

On August 21, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ONISHI Yohei attended the reception commemorating the 217th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Ecuador, hosted in Tokyo by the Embassy of Ecuador in Japan. The outline is as follows.

  1. Vice-Minister ONISHI, who delivered remarks following H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to Japan, Mr.Cesar Augusto Mantaño Huerta expressed his congratulations on Ecuador’s Independence Day, and stated that Japan and Ecuador are important partners that share values and principles, and that, with President Noboa’s visit to Japan last year and Foreign Minister Motegi’s visit to Ecuador in August this year, the momentum for strengthening bilateral relations is increasingly growing.
  2. Vice-Minister ONISHI, based on Foreign Minister Motegi’s visit to Ecuador, expressed his expectation that meaningful discussions will be held at the Economic and Trade Committee on ways to deepen bilateral economic relations across a wide range of fields, and stated his desire to make every effort toward the further strengthening of bilateral relations.
