Japan-Ecuador Relations
Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Horii by Mr. Alejandro Davalos Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador

On July 2, from 5:00 PM for approximately 30 minutes, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Horii Iwao received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Alejandro Davalos, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ecuador, who was visiting Japan to participate in the Japan-Ecuador policy consultation, among other events. An outline of the meeting is as follows.
- At the outset, State Minister Horii welcomed Deputy Minister Davalos's visit to Japan and expressed his pleasure that relations with Ecuador, an important partner sharing fundamental values and principles, are being strengthened in various areas such as economy. In response, Deputy Minister Davalos stated his desire to further develop bilateral relations in a variety of fields in the future.
- In addition, both sides exchanged views on cooperation in the international arena and agreed to continue cooperating closely.
