Japan-Chile Relations
130th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations
between Japan and Chile
Call for Logo Designs
In 2027, Japan and Chile will celebrate the 130th Anniversary of the Establishment of their Diplomatic Relations. To mark this commemorative milestone and to promote various exchange activities that will further deepen the friendship between the two countries, the general public is invited to submit design proposals for the logo to be used in these activities.
The logo must reflect values such as friendship, cooperation, cultural exchange, a vision for the future, and the historical ties between Japan and Chile.
The participation requirements, application method, and other details are outlined below.
1. Call Content

(NOTE) No specific theme is required; however, logo proposals that symbolize the 130 years of friendship built jointly by Japan and Chile are expected.
2. Participation Requirements
(1) Eligibility
Individuals holding Japanese or Chilean nationality are eligible to participate.
(2) Submission Deadline
By Friday, July 31, 2026 (date of receipt).
(3) Evaluation Method
Submitted logo design proposals will be evaluated by the “Executive Committee for the 130th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Chile,” composed of representatives from both countries, and one winning design will be selected. The Executive Committee, during the evaluation, will consider, among other aspects, the design appeal to represent the 130 years of relations between Japan and Chile, its creativity and originality, its graphic quality, legibility, versatility, and applicability on different platforms, sizes and formats, as well as the clarity of the conceptual explanation submitted by the applicant.
(NOTE) If it is determined that no suitable proposal was submitted, the contest may be declared “void.”
(4) Announcement of Results
The selected design will be officially adopted as the commemorative logo for the 130th anniversary and will be announced simultaneously by the Japanese and Chilean parties.
