The 10th Japan-Chile Policy Dialogu

On June 3, the 10th Japan-Chile Policy Dialogue was held in Tokyo. the Chilean delegation was headed by Ms. Gloria DE LA FUENTE GONZÁLEZ, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chile.
The Japanese side was represented by Mr. NOGUCHI Yasushi, Director-General of the Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the dialogue, the two sides had a fruitful exchange of views on bilateral relations including in political, economic, defense, science and technology areas, cooperation in the international arena, as well as regional affairs in East Asia, Latin America Ukraine, and the Middle East. They also concurred on enhancing cooperation in a wide range of areas including climate change, disaster risk reduction, space, gender equality, and the ocean.
Both sides confirmed their intention to work on further enhancing the mechanisms that the close Japan-Chile relationship has, especially in order to deepen people to people exchange, and the political dialogue.
