Courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs HORII by Mr. Ricardo Rojas, Ambassador of Chile to Japan

On March 26, commencing at 3:00 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a farewell courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Ricardo Gustavo ROJAS González, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chile to Japan.
- At the outset, State Minister HORII appreciated Ambassador Rojas’s active engagement and contribution to bilateral relations during his 5-year tenure in Japan, stating that the Japan-Chile bilateral relationship, as strategic partners, had further deepened during the Ambassador's tenure, including through the realization of high-level exchanges involving president and foreign minister, on occasions such as the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.
- In response, Ambassador Rojas stated that he was pleased to have been able to work on further strengthening bilateral relations, including promoting people-to-people exchanges. He expressed his gratitude for the friendship towards Chile that State Minister Horii has consistently shown.
