On March 26, commencing at 3:00 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a farewell courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Ricardo Gustavo ROJAS González, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chile to Japan.

  1. At the outset, State Minister HORII appreciated Ambassador Rojas’s active engagement and contribution to bilateral relations during his 5-year tenure in Japan, stating that the Japan-Chile bilateral relationship, as strategic partners, had further deepened during the Ambassador's tenure, including through the realization of high-level exchanges involving president and foreign minister, on occasions such as the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.
  2. In response, Ambassador Rojas stated that he was pleased to have been able to work on further strengthening bilateral relations, including promoting people-to-people exchanges. He expressed his gratitude for the friendship towards Chile that State Minister Horii has consistently shown.
