Message of condolences from Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio following the damages caused by the flood and landslide disaster in the Northern Coastal Area of the State of Sao Paulo, the Federative Republic of Brazil
On February 24, regarding the damage caused by the flood and landslide disaster in the Northern Coastal Area of the State of Sao Paulo, the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, delivered the following message of condolences to H.E. Mr. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
“It is with deep sadness when I learnt that the recent flood and landslide disaster in the Northern coastal area of the State of Sao Paulo have claimed many precious lives and forced many people to evacuate. On behalf of the Government and the people of Japan, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives and their bereaved families. My sympathies are with those who are affected and I sincerely pray for the prompt reconstruction of the affected areas.”
