The 27th Japan-Argentina Policy Consultations

The 27th Japan-Argentina Policy Consultations was held in Buenos Aires on July 1st from 10:30 (local time) for about 4 and a half hours.

The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. ONO Keiichi, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and Mr. Leopoldo SAHORES, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic (Political Part) and Mr. Marcelo CIMA, Secretary of International Economic Relations of the same Ministry (Economic Part).

Both sides discussed bilateral relations based on the "strategic partnership" between Japan and Argentina, and cooperation in a wide range of areas including improvement of business environment to further strengthen economic relations. They also discussed cooperation in the international fora, as well as exchanging views on the regional situations such as Ukraine, East Asia and Latin America.
