The 26th Japan-Argentina Policy Consultations


The 26th Japan-Argentina Policy Consultations was held in Tokyo on July 26 from 1:30 p.m. for about 220 minutes.
The Japanese side was represented by Mr. SUZUKI Hiroshi, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, while the Argentine side was represented by Ambassador Pablo TETTAMANTI, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship. Also in attendance were Ms. KOBAYASHI Maki, Director General of the Latin American Bureau, Ambassador Guillermo HUNT, Argentine Ambassador to Japan, and government officials from both countries.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Tettamanti expressed his deepest condolences for the passing of former Prime Minister ABE Shinzo.
Mr. Suzuki and Ambassador Tettamanti discussed bilateral relations based on "strategic partnership", cooperation in a wide range of areas such as business environment development and cooperation in international fora, and exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine, China, North Korea, and Latin America.
