On February 4th 2015, 15 young officials of FEALAC member countries who were invited to Japan through the “FEALAC Young Leaders Invitation Program” paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Uto, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan. The summary of the visit is as follows.
  1. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Uto welcomed the young officials of FEALAC member countries and expressed his wish that the participants of the program utilize, in their respective countries, what they have learned and experienced during this visit on “disaster risk reduction” and ”sustainable growth,” issues which are of common concern amongst FEALAC member countries. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Uto stressed the significance of networking and expressed that Japan will further promote cooperation with FEALAC member countries.
  2. In return, the representative of the program’s participants expressed their gratitude to the government of Japan for the invitation and expressed their wish to learn the best practices of Japan, share their experiences and utilize the knowledge acquired through this visit in their respective countries after the program.
