On March 17, commencing at 11:05 a.m. for approximately 45 minutes, State Minister for Foreign Affairs HORII Iwao received a courtesy call from H.E. Ms. Melba Pría, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to Japan. The summary is as follows.

  1. At the outset, State Minister Horii expressed the importance of exchanges between Japan and Mexico, including at the high-level, for deepening bilateral relations. In response, Ambassador Pría stated her expectation to work together to revitalizing exchanges between two countries.
  2. Both sides concurred to continue working together to deepen relations between Japan and Mexico, including bilateral economic relations and economic cooperation.
