Japan-Costa Rica Relations

Mr. Stephan BRUNNER Neibig, First Vice-President of the Republic of Costa Rica will visit Japan from August 3 to 9, 2024.

  1. During his stay in Japan, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, will have a meeting with First Vice-President Brunner. First Vice-President Brunner will also visit Hiroshima to attend the Peace Memorial Ceremony.
  2. The Republic of Costa Rica is an important partner that shares fundamental values with Japan, and places importance on democracy and free trade. Through the visit by First Vice-President Brunner, it is expected that the long-standing friendly relationship between two countries will be further strengthened.
  3. Dr. Arnoldo ANDRÉ, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Dr. Manuel TOVAR, Minister of Foreign Trade, and Ms. Paula BOGANTES, Minister of Science, Innovation, Technology and Telecommunications, will accompany First Vice-President Brunner’s visit to Japan.
