Japan-Costa Rica Relations
Visit to Japan by First Vice-President Brunner of the Republic of Costa Rica

Mr. Stephan BRUNNER Neibig, First Vice-President of the Republic of Costa Rica will visit Japan from August 3 to 9, 2024.
- During his stay in Japan, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, will have a meeting with First Vice-President Brunner. First Vice-President Brunner will also visit Hiroshima to attend the Peace Memorial Ceremony.
- The Republic of Costa Rica is an important partner that shares fundamental values with Japan, and places importance on democracy and free trade. Through the visit by First Vice-President Brunner, it is expected that the long-standing friendly relationship between two countries will be further strengthened.
- Dr. Arnoldo ANDRÉ, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Dr. Manuel TOVAR, Minister of Foreign Trade, and Ms. Paula BOGANTES, Minister of Science, Innovation, Technology and Telecommunications, will accompany First Vice-President Brunner’s visit to Japan.
