Meeting between Mrs. Akie Abe, the spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan and Mrs. Eloise Gonsalves, the spouse of the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
On August 7th, Mrs Akie Abe, the spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan had a meeting with Mrs. Eloise Gonsalves, the spouse of the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, who was visiting Japan.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. Mrs. Abe welcomed Mrs. Gonsalves’s visit to Japan. Mrs. Gonsalves thanked for Mrs. Abe’s warm reception.
Mrs. Abe said that she wished Mrs. Gonsalves enjoy her stay in Japan while paying close attention to the coming typhoon. Mrs. Gonsalves responded that indeed there have occurred many unprecedented meteorological phenomena never seen before due to the influence caused by the recent climate change. In addition, she presented the damages of coral reefs in the Caribbean sea, abnormal growth of sargassum seaweeds in the East Caribbean states, and others.
They also talked on the sustainable use of living marine resources, the ecosystem equilibrium, the balance of fulfilling the role as Prime minister’s spouse and living the family life.
