On December 5, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. HORII Iwao, attended the farewell reception for Ambassador of Jamaica to Japan, H.E. Ms. Shorna-Kay M. RICHARDS.

Following the farewell address by Ambassador Richards, State Minister Horii delivered his remarks.
In his remarks, State Minister Horii mentioned last year’s 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Jamaica and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ambassador Richards for her contributions to deepening bilateral relations during her tenure especially through the visits to Japan by Foreign Minister Mrs. Kamina Johnson Smith and Speaker of the House of Representative Mrs. Juliet Holness.
State Minister Horii also expressed gratitude for Jamaica's participation in this year's Expo 2025 Osaka,Kansai, Japan and stated his hope for further development of bilateral relations going forward.
