Launch of the Co-creation for common agenda initiative for Nigeria: “Solution of social challenges and building economic resilience by supporting startups”

At this time, Japan and Nigeria concurred on the launch of the Co-creation for common agenda initiative for Nigeria, titled “Solution of social challenges and building economic resilience by supporting startups”.
- Nigeria is actively promoting startups by enacting relevant laws in order to push forward industrial diversification. Through the provision of funds to startups in Nigeria involved in manufacturing and resolving social challenges, this initiative aims to resolve social challenges through innovation and diversify its industry through the creation of new industries, thereby enhance Nigeria's economic resilience. In doing so, it will ensure to achieve mutual synergies between Japan and Nigeria.
- Through this initiative, Japan intends to promote actions for Nigeria's industrial development in collaborating with private companies and further deepen relations with the country.
