Japan-U.S.-ROK Trilateral Dialogue on Space Security (Director-level meeting)

On November 8, the Japan-U.S.-ROK Trilateral Dialogue on Space Security was held in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.
- The Dialogue was held in light of the Spirit of Camp David: Leaders’ Joint Statement of Japan, the United States and the Republic of Korea and the United States, released at the Japan-U.S.-ROK Summit in August this year, where the three countries concurred on seeking to further enhance trilateral dialogue on space security cooperation.
- At the Dialogue, the three countries discussed threats in the space domain, national space strategies, and the responsible use of space. As a result of the Dialogue, the three countries issued a joint press release (PDF) .
- The participants to the Dialogue include director-level representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Space Policy Secretariat, Cabinet Office from the Japanese side, the National Space Council, the Department of State and other relevant authorities from the U.S. side, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Science and ICT and other relevant authorities from the ROK side.
