The Second Japan-France Counter-Terrorism Consultations

On April 3, Japan-France Counter-Terrorism Consultations were held at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, which was mentioned in the Japan-France Joint Leaders' Statement issued earlier the same month. And it marks the second consultation, following the first meeting held in April last year.
- H.E. Mr. MINAMI Hiroyuki, Ambassador in charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime, and H.E. Mr. Olivier Caron, Ambassador and Special Envoy for Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime International Strategy of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs represented the respective delegations.
- During this consultation, the two sides exchanged views on the global threats of international terrorism and emerging challenges and affirmed their commitment to further promote bilateral cooperation in international fora. They also confirmed to hold the next consultation in Tokyo at an appropriate time.
