Meeting between H.E. Mr. MINAMI Hiroyuki, Ambassador in charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime and Ms. Ghada Fathi Waly, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)

On March 13, during his visit to Vienna, Austria to attend the 67th session of the High-Level Segment of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, Mr. MINAMI Hiroyuki, Ambassador in charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime held a meeting with Ms. Ghada Fathi Waly, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
During the meeting, the both sides confirmed the importance of strengthening Japan-UNODC relations to promote the rule of law, and exchanged views on measures to combat terrorism and transnational organized crime, including the illicit drugs. In addition, Ms. Waly expressed her deep appreciation for Japan's continued contribution to UNODC.
