The 6th Meeting of the Japan-India Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism

On May 29, 2024, the 6th Meeting of the Japan-India Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism was held in New Delhi, India.
H.E. Mr. MINAMI Hiroyuki, Representative of the Government of Japan, Ambassador in charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Mr. K. D. Dewal, Joint Secretary for Counter Terrorism, Ministry of External Affairs of India represented their countries.
At the Meeting, Japan and India discussed how two countries address challenges such as misuse of new and emerging technologies by terrorists, radicalization and terrorist financing, while exchanging their views on threats posed by terrorism worldwide.
The Joint Working Group established based on the agreement in Japan-India Summit Meeting in April 2005, and its First Meeting was held in Tokyo in July 2005.
