The 1st Japan-Indonesia Counter-Terrorism Dialogue

- On June 8, the 1st Japan-Indonesia Counter-Terrorism Dialogue was held in online format.
- H.E. Mr. SUZUKA Mitsuji, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, in Charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime, and Police Commissioner General Boy Rafli Amar, Head of the National Counter Terrorism Agency (BNPT), represented respective sides. Officials from both countries' counter-terrorism related ministries and agencies also attended the meeting.
- Japan and Indonesia exchanged views on the current situation of international terrorism including influence of pandemic, domestic measures to counter terrorism, and also on capacity building cooperation in countering terrorism and violent extremism.
