  1. The 2nd Japan-Indonesia Counter-Terrorism Dialogue was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on October 5th, 2023.
  2. H.E. Mr. SUGIYAMA Akira, Representative of the Government of Japan, Ambassador in Charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime, and Police Commissioner General Rycko Amelza Dahniel, Head of the National Counter Terrorism Agency (BNPT), represented respective sides. Officials from both countries' counter-terrorism related ministries and agencies also attended the meeting.
  3. Japan and Indonesia exchanged views on the current situation of international terrorism including terrorists’ abuse of new and emerging technologies including the Internet, domestic measures to counter terrorism, and also on capacity building cooperation in countering terrorism and violent extremism.
