Call for Applications

1. The Global Program for Human Resource Development for Peacebuilding and Development (Global Peacebuilders Program) is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) in order to strengthen the civilian capacity of Japan and other countries in the field of peacebuilding and development. MOFA has commissioned the Hiroshima Peacebuilders Center (HPC) to implement the program. Japan places emphasis on contributing to the peace and stability of the international community under the policy of “Proactive Contribution to Peace” based on the principle of international cooperation.

2. Applications are now open for 20 participants for the Mid-Career Course of the JFY 2015 Global Peacebuilders Program. The application guidelines and materials can be found on the HPC websiteOpen a New Window. The course is open to practitioners of peacebuilding and development from all nationalities. Please submit your application on the HPC website by 17:00 Japan Time (GMT +9) on November 10, 2015.

3. Participants will take part in training in Tokyo (conducted in English) from January 9, 2016 to January 15, 2016.
