1. The 11th Japan- the Islamic Republic of Iran Human Rights Dialogue was held on February 7 in Tehran.

2. The dialogue was led respectively by Mr. Koichi Mizushima, Deputy Director-General of Foreign Policy Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Ms. Mansureh Sharifi Sadr, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director General of Human Rights and Women Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

3. During the dialogue, both countries explained their respective basic policies and measures on human rights issues, and exchanged views, among others, on matters of interest and concern as well as cooperation with the United Nations. As a part of the dialogue, legal experts from both countries had a technical session and exchanged views on each judicial system.

4. Both sides will arrange to hold the next dialogue in 2017 in Tokyo.
