On February 4, the Advisory Committee for the National Action Plan (NAP) on Business and Human Rights convened for its second meeting.

  1. The meeting brought various participants including experts from the business sector, civil society organizations, international and other organizations and other relevant organizations as well as the relevant ministries of the Government of Japan.
  2. The Committee members expressed various opinions on the first draft of NAP including the points to be incorporated in the NAP and a framework for its implementation and reviewing process.
  3. The Government of Japan continues to work on developing the NAP while taking into consideration various comments, including those presented during this meeting.
