The 1st Japan-Lithuania Bilateral Consultations on Cybersecurity

On Wednesday, September 11, the 1st Japan-Lithuania Bilateral Consultations on Cybersecurity were held in Vilnius, Lithuania.
- This whole of government meeting was co-chaired by Mr. KUMAGAI Naoki, Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA), and Ms. Inga SŪNELAITIENĖ, Head, Cyber Security and IT Policy Department, Ministry of National Defence (MoND), with the participation of officials from, on the Japanese side, MOFA, National center of Incident readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC), and Ministry of Defense (MOD), and on the Lithuanian side, MoND, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and they were welcomed by Vice-Minister of National Defense, Mrs. Monika Koroliovienė.
- At this consultations on cybersecurity, the two sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues, such as each country’s cybersecurity strategy and policy as well as bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
- Both sides confirmed that they will continue to closely work together in the field of cyber, including through the Japan-Lithuania Bilateral Consultations on Cybersecurity.
